Aktives Museum

A museum without a museum

The Aktives Museum is not a museum in the traditional sense. It is a historical society that organizes projects including exhibitions and public talks in cooperation with other institutions in Berlin.

A main focus of our work is the history of people from German-speaking countries who were forced into exile between 1933 and 1945. The Aktives Museum has dedicated several  Öffnet internen Link im aktuellen FensterExhibitions and Öffnet internen Link im aktuellen FensterPublications to recalling the fates of émigrés who fled Nazi persecution.

"Repressed Memory. How West Berlin Dealt with Sites of Nazi Perpetrators"

This exhibition will be on show at House of the Wannsee Conference Educational and Memorial Site from January 20th 2017 onwards.
