A museum without a museum
The Aktives Museum is not a museum in the traditional sense. It is a historical society that organizes projects including exhibitions and public talks in cooperation with other institutions in Berlin.
A main focus of our work is the history of people from German-speaking countries who were forced into exile between 1933 and 1945. The Aktives Museum has dedicated several Exhibitions and Publications to recalling the fates of émigrés who fled Nazi persecution.
